About Denise Price Thomas
DPT Consulting & Training was started in 2009 by Denise Price Thomas. A native of Gastonia, North Carolina, Denise has enjoyed over 32 years of employment in the healthcare industry, including many years spent as the administrator for a surgical practice. Throughout her career she has been passionate about creating positive experiences for patients and customers. She enjoys teaching customer service, effective communication and other topics. She strives to inspire others by using heart-warming stories and humor she has gleaned from her management experience in her informational, inspirational and motivational presentations. In addition, “Gladys Friday”, (aka Denise), completes the package of “Health, Hope & Humor” by telling entertaining stories about funny moments in health care settings.
Recently, Denise and “Gladys Friday” were featured in the April 2009 issue of Connexion magazine, Medical Group Management Association’s national publication. Denise is certified in healthcare management through Pfeiffer College, Charlotte.
Denise and her husband Reg live in Belmont, North Carolina and have three children and seven grandchildren. She continually gets blamed for being “immature” for her age ~ a trait that she hopes to continue.
Denise also plays the part of other "characters" suitable to entertain your audience, i.e. "Bernice Beauchamp" ~ The Church Secretary "that also does hair on the side" Her best friend is "Ima Gossip" = lots of real life humor. "Diane Hart" (dying heart) is played as a homeless person through a heart felt musical drama.
